Watch your back.... things are about to get creepy
Halloween is definitely one of my favorite times in the year. When we were told to capture this eerie ambiance I was all up for the challenge. With this challenge I worked to experiment with set design and at the same time apply some of the rules I have learned in the past months. With these pictures I learned a thing or two about how my camera works in different lighting conditions. For these photos I wanted dark results so I tried hard to ignore the exposure scale, which was going crazy about how dark my photos were. I also went into Photoshop to slightly adjust the shadows. This picture was amusing. I went for a slow shutter speed so I would be able to collect the faint light of the candles. I also chose a small f stop to gain more light and create a shallow depth of field. I emphasized lines in this picture as I have learned it is a great way too pull in a viewers attention. I hope to continue working on composition and most of all continue to have fun with my photography.
